Consultation and Make-up Trial

It is highly recommended that you book a trial/consultation around 4-6 weeks before your wedding day.The consultation involves a relaxed discussion about your wedding dress, hairstyle, accessories and colour schemes, so that Georgina can make sure the look you choose together will compliment your overall look.  Georgina will also take time to discuss your skin type and any allergies you may have before moving onto the next stage - the make-up trial.   

The make-up trial is as much a trial for Georgina as it is for you. Having not met you before Georgina have no pre-conceptions to how you wear your make-up and generally you won’t have any on when she arrives for your trial (which is ideal). She does carry a portfolio of pictures with her containing various popular bridal looks and it’s worth just spending a couple of minutes looking through and picking out colours/styles/finishes you like or if it’s easier one’s you strongly don’t like.  One persons definition of subtle could be someone else’s definition of heavy, that is why it is extremely important to use the trial to be vocal about your likes and dislikes, it’s always useful if you’ve seen a particular look you like in a magazine or on the internet to save it for your trial as you would with a picture of a hairstyle you like. During the make-up trial you will be given ample opportunities to have some input but if you prefer to let Georgina make the all the decisions that is perfectly fine too!  Although we can be confident you will love your make-up you can feel assured that Georgina will tweak your make-up until the desired look is achieved.

A look will be created that enhances your natural beauty and unless you specifically want a dramatic change you will still look like you. It's important that the finished look makes you feel comfortable and happy.  

The picture gallery demonstrates that for the majority of brides a natural look is the most requested style of make-up however, this doesn’t mean if you have your heart set on wearing big false eyelashes and sporting striking smoky eyes your wish can’t be granted. Georgina won’t know unless you tell her!

False eyelashes come in all shapes and sizes some are very dramatic where as others are just for adding a little extra volume and length – if you would like to trial false eyelashes there is an additional charge (please see prices)

It’s vital that your make-up trial is carried out in natural light. It is by far the best source of light to give a true example of what the make-up will look like on the day.

Georgina will make a record of all the make-up used during your make-up trial ensuring that on your big day the look is replicated.  

Overall, the time that should be allowed for a consultation and make-up trial is 1-2 hours, trials are carried out in the comfort of your own home, however on your wedding day Georgina can arrive either at your home or preferred location i.e. wedding venue, at a time that was pre-arranged at your consultation and make-up trial.

If any other members of the bridal party wish to join you at your trial/consulation and have a make-up trial please allow at least an additional 1 hour per person.

On your Wedding Day

Georgina will arrive at your agreed time and location with plenty of time to spare to get set up and will usually begin applying make-up for other members of the bridal party before the brides make-up, this allows time for the bride to have her hair styled, so that once the make-up is applied it is fresh and perfect.  Georgina will ensure everyone is ready at least 1 hour prior to the ceremony/cars arriving allowing plenty of time to get dressed and have any photographs taken before leaving the house/venue. 

Terms of booking/payment

Should you decide you would like to go ahead and book Georgina, a non-refundable advanced booking fee of £40 is required, this will secure your trial and wedding date in Georgina's diary. Dates cannot be secured without the booking deposit. The deposit can be paid by cheque, bank transfer or paypal. The deposit will be deducted from your wedding day makeup balance. 

At your trial once you are satisfied with your final look  50% of the total cost of your wedding day make-up is required. This can be paid via cash or cheque at your trial.

Any outstanding balance must be paid at least 7-10 days before your wedding day. This can be paid via cheque, bank transfer or paypal.

All prices include travelling expenses up to a 20 mile radius of Trowbridge, Wiltshire every mile thereafter will be charged at 50p per mile. For long distances travelling costs can be negotiated depending on size of wedding party requiring make-up.
